From all the hills of Veliko Tarnovo you can see the monument of St. Patriarch Euthymius, erected in 1978 in front of the hall of Veliko Tarnovo University. The monument is the work of the sculptor Boris Gondov and the architect Dimitar Krastev. The bronze monument was solemnly opened on May 8 by the then chairman of the culture committee Ludmila Zhivkova.
