The Hotnitsa waterfall is also known under the name Kaya Bunar. It is located on the outskirts of Stara Planina, near Veliko Tarnovo. The waterfall can be reached by car, as there is a parking lot next to it. From Kaya Bunar begins the eco-path, dotted with many wooden bridges and stairs. Nearby there is a clearing and gazebo suitable for a picnic. The Hotnitsa eco-path is about 1.5 km long. The beginning is to the left of the Hotni waterfall, by steep stairs. Paths, wooden bridges and stairs follow, leading to the top of the waterfall and revealing a series of small waterfalls further up the river.
