The traditional Christmas bazaar in Veliko Tarnovo will soon open its doors!
From December 1 to January 1 of the new year, “Marno Pole” park will turn into a peculiar Christmas town, full of fabulous surprises. For the first time, the attractions of the bazaar will be located together with the festive stage in front of the entrance to the Summer Theater. An interesting and festive music program awaits you throughout the month with the participation of local performers, formations and groups. For the second year in a row, next to the traditional houses, the new wooden pavilions will be located to present an even greater variety of goods. At the Christmas Bazaar you’ll find great Christmas gifts and decorations, lucky charms, candles, leather and woodwork, home and tree decorations, handmade jewellery, paintings, iris photography and much more. Winter is the season of sweet treats, so here you will find a wide variety of Christmas cookies and pastries, homemade cakes, hot chocolate, doughnuts, cookies, waffles, as well as healthy protein bars and candies. If you feel like eating something salty, you can try various meat delicacies and traditional mulled wine. In anticipation of Christmas, several charity campaigns will traditionally be held at the bazaar. One of the houses will be available to the talented self-made people from the social services in the municipality, and it will house the charity exhibition “We Can”, which is being organized for the 18th year in a row. The “I Want a Baby” foundation, the Bulgarian Red Cross, the “Children’s Heart” association and the Interact club will participate in another house with their own initiatives. Santa’s loyal helpers will be waiting for all young and old with their wishes from December 1 to 21 inclusive. Just remember, before you drop your letter in the Christmas Mail, to check that you’ve also written a return address so that Santa’s message can reach you! The Christmas bazaar in the old capital is organized by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and Municipal Tourist Agency “Tsarevgrad Tarnov”.
