On November 27, at 7 p.m., on the stage of the “Konstantin Kisimov” MDT, the Varna State Opera will present the ballet “The Nutcracker”. The ballet by P. I. Tchaikovsky is in 2 acts based on the eponymous fairy tale by E. T. A. Hoffmann “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice”. The choreography is by Svetlana Tonsheva.The plot tells about little Marie, who dreams of a real Christmas present, but instead receives a nutcracker in the shape of a soldier in a beautiful uniform. The dream does come true though – the dream takes Marie to a magical kingdom and there she dances in the arms of her Nutcracker Prince. She experiences wonderful adventures, meets a king and queen, mice and a whole army of lead soldiers. Her puppets show charming dances from Spain, China, Russia, France, and finally they all spin in a happy final waltz.
