An attractive Tourist Train rides the tourists and guests of the old capital – Veliko Tarnovo.
The train operates from Wednesday to Sunday inclusive, between 9 and 13 o`clock.
The route covers the main attractions in the old part of Veliko Tarnovo.
The train left the parking lot on ul. “Krajbrezhna” . Next, it stops in front of the “Mini Bulgaria” park and continues its journey in the historical “Asenov” quarter, and passengers will see the monastery complex “St. St. Peter and Pavel”, the recently restored Šishmanova bath, the Vladiški bridge and the mediaval church “Holy Forty Martyrs”. The tour continues with a panoramic view of the fortresses of Asenevtsi – Tsarevets and Trapezitsa. Past the “Yantra” hotel, the train turns and goes again to the “Tsar Asen I” square in front of the “Tsarevets” fortress, before heading back to the parking lot on “Krajbrezhna” Str.
The train departs at 09:00, 10:00, 11:00 , 12:00 from the parking lot on “Krajbrežna” Str. and at 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 at the “Tsar Asen I” square in front of the “Tsarevets” fortress.
The price of the full tour is 4 Euro for adults and 2,50 Euro for children, and the price for a half- tour – 2,50 Euro for adults and 1,50 Euro for children.
The train was leased by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo according to a European project. It has a locomotive and two wagons.
