 The third, but not least, exhibition to which we invite you is entitled “The Road from Neglected to National Wealth” at the “Renaissance and Constituent Assembly” Museum.
 This exhibition will give an idea of ​​the long journey that Jacob van Beelen and the Foundation “Bulgarian Kilim” have taken – for the recognition and appreciation of the Bulgarian kilim weaving tradition and for their conviction that Bulgaria should have a national gallery-museum for the rich and diverse history of this folk art, but also for its new revival.🇧🇬
 Location: In front of the “Renaissance and Constituent Assembly” Museum.
 Opening hours: 9:00-18:00, no days off.
Free admission for the opening and for the days of August 15, 16, 27 and September 19. 🙂
 Official presentation:
 In front of the museum, on August 15 at 5:00 p.m., we present our program and team of experts on Bulgarian kilims.
 As a connecting red thread in time, the choir “Rosna Kitka” from Polikraishte with conductor Georgi Petrov, who also sang at the opening of the first exhibition of Jacob van Beelen in 2019, will sing for you.
 What is my kilim?:
 The next day – Sunday, August 16, at 2:30 p.m., at the same place, you can show your kilim (live or in a quality photo) and receive a free consultation on its origin and dating from our experts on Chiprovtsi, Kotel and other weaving regions.
 Round table:
 Immediately after this, at 4:00 p.m. inside the museum, a round table discussion on the topic “The Past and Future of the Bulgarian Kilim” will be held with the participation of: Dora Kurshumova, Joana Chuskareva, Velika Stoeva, Ilza Hristova, dr. Chavdar Dimitrov, Kaloyan Yankov, Jacob wan Beelen. Moderator Vladislava Andreeva.
 The project “The Path of Bulgarian Kilims” is being implemented with the financial support of the Culture Program of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and is part of the initiative to create a National Gallery-Museum of the Bulgarian Kilim in Veliko Tarnovo.
