If you wake up on Sunday right after Friday, it means the party was epic. No one knows this better than Filip Bukov, Pavel Ivanov, Hristo Padev, Stoyan Doychev, and Skiller, for whom “Friday Night” turns directly into “Sunday Morning.” The new original spectacle brings the four actors and the beatbox master back together in the sequel to the comedy dedicated to the longed-for Friday night.
The five of them cleverly skip Saturday and jump straight into the calm waters of Sunday. Nothing can disrupt the peaceful flow of their rest, except… that mysterious but scar-leaving finale of Friday night. Planting the seed of doubt, it cracks the dream of a peaceful day off and turns Sunday into a minefield of embarrassing memories and guesswork.
The actors step into various roles once again to recreate comic situations connecting their Friday night experiences with their Sunday awakening. They attempt to answer a series of questions. When does Sunday morning actually begin? With the last cocktail and the final blackout on Friday? Or with the first sounds of a drill violently boring into your brain? Why do we miss Saturday afternoon, and do we even stand a chance of experiencing it? Not if the party was truly good.
The music and the entire sound design, of course, are created by Skiller. The play is directed by Ivaylo Nenov, with text written by Vanya Georgieva, stage design by Mirela Vasileva, and choreography by Aleksandar Mandzhukov.
How the Sunday ends can be seen right from the morning. The only morning capable of giving birth to a dream and destroying it just minutes later.
The performance is suitable for audiences over 16 years old.
