Children’s Roma Festival „Open Heart”
Center for Inter-Ethnic Dialogue and Tolerance „Amalipe” organizes the Nineteenth Edition of the Children’s Roma Festival „Open Heart”, on May 31 – June 1, 2024 in the town of Veliko Tarnovo.
The official opening of the festival will be on May 31, traditionally in the Marno Pole Park, Veliko Tarnovo. The program includes a colorful variety of songs, dances, festive customs, tales and traditions of the Roma, Bulgarians, Turks and other ethnic groups living in Bulgaria. The spectators of the festival will be fascinated by the variety and mood that the participants will bring. They will also be able to see products made by the skillful hands of the children in the interest clubs. A number of side events are also organized within the festival.
From 5:30 p.m., the now traditional procession of all participants in the festival will take place along the central street of Veliko Tarnovo „Vasil Levski”. The procession starts from the Students’ Chair and will end with a fall dance in front of the Mother Bulgaria monument.
